AMERICAN MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY

The museum has a large group dioramas of African, Asian and North American mammals. There is a stuffed blue whale that can be seen in the ‘Family Milstein Hall of Ocean Life There is a 20 meter long Haida carved and painted war canoe from the area adjacent to the Pacific Ocean. There is also the Star of India on dispplay, the largest blue sapphire in the world. In Addition you can find a floor dedicated to the evolution of vertebrates, including dinosaurs. The anthropological collection of the museum is also very large. There are halls about people and their cultures from around the world, such as the hall of Asian men, the man in Africa and the aborigines of America, Mexico and Central America.
