The Guggenheim Museum New York, on 5th Avenue is one of the five Guggenheim museums around the world alongside Guggenheim Hermitage Museum in Las Vegas, the Guggenheim in Bilbao, Deutsche Guggenheim in Berlin and Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice. It is a modern art museum with paintings mainly of the 20th century and one of the most important museums of modern art. The original building is a museum piece in itself by its special design. The exhibition space consists of a spiral shape, which also manifests outside. The artworks are exhibited along a spiral gradient slope that runs through the entire building. The central part of the space on all floors, as far as one can speak here of floors, passes, is covered by a large skylight.
